    Powder Coating Stock 16" Rims/ 09 Corolla S

I was thinking about getting my rims powder coated to match the color of the car. I don't want to buy all new rims and tires, and to be honest. I like the Stock 16" Rims. I have heard that Powder coating is a good way to go. Anyone have any input on this??

    Thanks

That can get expensive. Might wanna consider painting them yourself. Duplicolor makes really nice wheel paint. Just make sure to properly clean and prep the wheel first, and use even coats.

Definatly not going to just paint it, I want the finish to last, which is the reason I am going with Powder coating.

And from what I have read, it is only around 350 to have all four done, I just don't know what I am going to use for wheels while it is being done.

Anyone know how long they usually take?

Yup, if you take your time and follow directions they will come out looking great.

Goku, what color is your car? I've had a good experience with the duplicolor gunmetal wheel paint.

Wheel paint can last just as long. If you use the Duplicolor wheel primer and wheel paint, it will be very durable.

Talked to the local Powder coater, who have gotten good ratings. And he was charging me 150 for all 4. Plus if it needs a clear coat, which will depend on the color I choose.
