Mcculloch HID 8000K Kit ordered

    Mcculloch HID 8000K Kit ordered

    I just ordered my kit from http://www.xenonking.com. I used the coupon code, xkyahoo, and got 20% off, I was 221, or something, Shipped. I had a tough time deciding between 6000k, or 8000k. But I like the blue tint. But I read someone that the 8000k will cause fatigue, I don't know if this is true or not.. Does anyone else have 8000k? I can change my order before monday. So if anyone wants to change my mind. I already know that it isn't more light, but its more light then stock.

    3500K - 4500K fot the best Visibility.

    8K is rice blue

    BTW, more light in our housings does NOT = better lighting

    Get the 6000K or lower. 8000K is iceberg blue. 6000K is pure white with a hint of blue.

    Alright, sounds good, I will be changing my order to 6000k

    Also, I have seen some CCFL Projector Headlights on ebay for like $260. Are those worth getting with HIDs???

    Hmmm..I'm actually deciding on cancelling my order now, I did some research before I Ordered them, but now I did a little more research, and I don't want to blind people. I mean, I have seen pictures of people with HID Kits installed in there 09 Corolla, and they said that there is very little glare and they didn't adjust there headlights, but I dunno what I should do :S

    I think projectors are the best way to go, but can be a little expensive. It all depends if you want the look of it. I'm just going to make sure that the next car I get, comes with them or has aftermarket ones.

    projectors aren't worth it. i was tired of blinding people too so i changed back to halogen. if i ever have $$ to spend for hid it'd be for high beams

    just retrofit it with real HIDs...if you have the money for it...or point them down. and 4300 is the best

    Well I couldn't cancel the order without a 20% Restocking fee, so the 6000k kit should ship out today. I will post some pictures when I get them installed sometime this weekend or next monday/Tuesday

    Received the kit today, and the roommate and I installed the kit in about 1 hour.

    We removed the bumper and mounted the Ballasts behind the bumper and out of the way. Tested and put the bumper back on. Everything went very smoothly, I will post some pictures later, as it is still light out and I have yet to see the lights in the dark.
