    Intake hum?

Recently, my aftermarket intake started making a humming noise, it didnt do it before so im just wondering why it did that all of a sudden, its like the sound of when you blow across the top of a bottle sorta, if anyone knows a fix to that let me know, thanks!

could be a leak, sounds like a leak, i had something similar happen to mine and it turned out to be the belt making squeaking noises and nothing to do with my CAI. check your filter too.

the noise comes mostly from the cone filter itself because i put my oem airbox back on and the noise stopped, its just wierd that the noise shows up all of a sudden after months of it not humming at all, and what should i check about the filter, clean it perhaps? havent cleaned it since i got the intake about 6 months ago

could be it loosing oil over time and gaining the hum sound. I'd clean it, reoil and go from there

think he has a map sensor in his 7th gen.. oiled filters ftl with a MAF but have little affect on a pressure sensor.

If I had designed such a filter I'd make it whistle by design when it's ready for more oil.. similar to how a furnace filter whistles when it's full.

my filter is extremely dirty, during our snow storm i took out the CAI and put my factory air filter box in and left the filter rolling around in my bumper over the fender and it got dirty as hell, i washed it off but didnt re-oil it.
