    Guess what daddy brought home?!?!

Today, i got off work n looked at something on the table....my dad brang a pamphlet thing home for the new Honda Ridgeline...sounds like we may have another Honda in our driveway fairly soon cuz my mom and dad seemed quite content about it...my friend always say my driveway has so many "asian" cars...if we do buy the ridgeline, then our driveway will compose of....my grandma's 1999 Nissan Sentra, my dad's 2000 Honda Accord, My mom's 2001 Honda Passport SUV, Our new Honda Ridgeline (trade in my dads 96 Silverado), and my 1994 Toyota Corolla (if i can get the freakin thing to run again!!!)....yup thats right, all imports baby!!!

even thoughthe Honda may be a look a like to the avalanche, the Ridgeline is safer, uses a bit less gas and has a four wheel independent suspension. if i ever had to buy a truck it would probably be a tundra as i just heard recently that Toyota is considering of putting 4 wheel independent suspension as the Ridgeline. But ther are only three i would take (the Titan, Trundra, and/or the Ridgeline) Chevy/ GMC, Ford and dodge are too common here and to be honest they are severly overrated.

although the tundra is the better truck in my opinion, you cant bash on the ridgeline. My dad owns a ridgeline as well, the ridgeline is a great truck. Read any automotive review about it and see if they do anything but gush about how good it is. There are so many innovative things on it, its a good strong truck, and considering it is Honda's first truck, I think they did a damn good job for their first stab at it.....when the ridgeline has been around as long as the tacoma, I am sure it will live up to tacoma standards

Hey man, take this from a guy who works at a Honda dealership. Does your dad like to tow things? Basically the Ridgeline is an Odyssey with a bed, lol. Thats what we compare it to at work. They both have the same 5,000lb towing capacity, same engine, built on the same platform, just a differant body. If he wants to tow a trailer or what not, get a Tundra, seriously. Just my $0.02 though.

Hey man, take it from the guy who works at the Honda factory where Ridgelines are made and whos father is overseeing the entire new generation ridgeline....my dad has done plenty of towing with his ridgeline, just as much as he did with his old silverado, and he says he prefers the ridgeline when towing.

The Ridgeline is not an oddesy with a bed. For someone who works at a Honda dealership I would hope you would know more about your product. The Ridgeline is far more similar to the Honda Pilot than it is to the Oddessy. Hence why they are made in the same factory now, on the exact same line. Although the oddessy used to be made on the same line as the Pilot, the parts were far from the same, the reason the Oddessy was moved to another factory and the Ridgeline moved with the Pilot is because they are basically the same.

The only thing the Toyota has on the Honda is some ride height, horsepower, and torgue, dont get me wrong, i like the tundra better, but you cant hate on the ridgeline, it will do average joe schmo just fine

the only real towing my dad does is our Sea Doojetski....nothing real heavy duty since we sold our 27 foot trailer....we want something thats functional as well as economical and my dad is pretty sold on hondas right bout now since when we bought our 2001 passport brand new from them, they were real good to us and they continue to be great to us....then when we bought our 2000 accord not too long ago, he liked how much money both honda's seemed to save us every month....but honestly, i dont think he'll make a real decision on what we get until much later cuz i think he wants to keep our silverado until it dies out (which is gonna be real soon cuz its been acting up with 176k highway miles currently on it)

Honda don't know how to build trucks, they have not done it before (TTBOMK). Get a Toyota Tundra and toss a Super Charger on it :)
