    Kompressor engine in corolla t-sport

I don't know if anyone already knows anything about this, but I was in europe for a couple of weeks and happen to see a really good looking 2005 corolla t-sport at a toyota dealership where I was pumping gas. I went to check it out closer and I could swear that I saw a Kompressor emblem on the back. One of the mechanics then came and started it up to move it inside the shop, and it sounded gooooood, with stock DUAL exhaust (probably not a true dual). But anyway, I just wanted to let you guys in on something cool I saw and wish us North Americans could get.

hopefully we'll see soon, I should have talked to the dealership when I saw it but my suissedeutsch is not that good. I keep checking the swiss toyota site and it says info should be coming some time soon.

hmmm....Kompressor? I dont think toyota's getting together with DaimlerChrysler Benz...

Kompressor pretty much means Supercharged.. so maybe they have the 1zz in there with the TRD S/C already?

if so... GOOD JOB TOYOTA!!! i've always second toyota selling the 1zz with the S/C already installed. I actually think that would do better in sales then the XRS.

if not... QUIT PUTTING DECEIVING EMBLEMS!!! YOURE MAKING US AMERICAN'S GO CRAZY!!!

they very well might have s/c'ed the 2zz... if they have higher octane gas over there they might be able to get away with it

and before anybody asks why the 2zz doesnt have a supercharger i'll tell u. its very simple,
high compression + forced induction = bunch of little bits of engine scattered everywhere

Thats ok, thanks for the information. It looks pretty good too, mainly because it only has one door on each side. damn we do need that here.

    Hi Guys,

Bemani is making s/c for Corolla TS. Take a look at http://www.bemani.ch and go to the German section. You can download a PDF file with the detailed specs. Unfortunately the kit is a bit expensive...

    Best,
    tx
