    tein s-tech springs questions

I have a question for those who have these on their rollas...first, will i have to realign the tires if i put these in? and would i have to get new shocks or anything? right now i'm just on stock wheels and tires so i prob dont have to worry about rubbing right? thanks

1..You will need an alignment with any new set of springs
2..You dont HAVE to get new shocks(im still on stock shocks)... eventually your shocks will wear out (anywhere between 6 months if you drive really hard to over a year some people have said), they just wear quicker with shorter springs.
3..If you are running stock wheels/tires there will be no rubbing at all.

    anything else, just ask

when i had my stock (195/65/15) wheels on i rubbed. when i put on my rims with (215/45/17) tires, they rubbed even more. It's not a constant rub... but when going over dips and bumps on the road or taking a turns quickly.

one question i do have about these springs.. do they make your front driver side lower than the right? or is it just me? this is where most of the rubbing occurs. Front Driver fender.

I also checked the space between the tire and the fender, with the passenger side, i can slip an index finger in between. with the driver side on the other hand, its only about a centimeter gap.

    anybody else's like this?

    ....

You shouldn't rub at all at stock setup. I had mine with stock rims for 10 month, and I had absolutely no rubbing issue. Now, I am on 18s and no rubbing (215/40/18). Ride hight also is supposed to be equal on both side. If you are getting a new set of rims, MAKE SURE that the wheel offset is 42 or 43+. For example, TRD rims have 38+ offset, so you will have rubbing issues with Tein. Progress or Hotchikis will still rub.

You shouldn't have to worry about your shocks for at least a year. I put over 10,000 miles on my spring and shocks, and they are fine.

mine would rub mostly on drivers side...i mostly only take hard turns while turning left though...all that rubbing on that side caused my splash guard to break
