Well government is cracking down on smog.... finally?

well a 240 owner was freaked out today to find out they were doing a smog test on a major street. Traffic came to a complete stop and cops with smog camaras were picking random people.

So mabie i should come back to the corolla...

that could also be why nissan is starting to use bigger motors

apparently. I was looking up something on TRIALS website (big big jap performance company). And saw a 2zz supercharger for a celica. Bit on the expensive side but a complete full Kit. Intercooler, titanium exhaust, fuel/air controller, headers, the works. But I read that it's not CARB legal. So while at work I asked some mechanics if this has to do with General Emissions or if it's part of Californias strict laws. From what they told me the other states are converting to Californias standards. Whether or not it's already in place or if it will kinda take a bit I'm not sure. But yeah there goes my 3SGTE 3rd generation idea

weather you pass or not all depends on what kinda checks they do... if its just a sniffer test youll pass... if they actually look at everything you need C.A.R.B. certifications

I took my car its first inspection today. I thought they were going to check the emissions and such and thought it would be like 40 bucks. All the guy did was back my car in front of mirrors, check all the lights real quick, honked my horn and checked my wipers and charge me 12 50. We did it less than 1 minute flat. 12 50 for less than one min. and for a lousy sticker, which he put on crocked, is this how it was suppose to be done?

It would be nice for cars in the other 49 states to finally compete on a level playing field (same emissions requirements and concerns).
