Taillights

I am looking for the clear-out taillights. Is there a pair somewhere that does not have that red ring around the white inner backup lights? Thanks.

I just found out that they are illegal, I asked that same question earlier

so every pair is illegal or just completely cear-out (no red at all)?

tai lights need red reflectors and red lights.

they used to be on ebay.........I'm not sure if they're still produced. They were made by super high technology which went outta business.

i don't know if this pertains to this topic, but i have clear altezza'z that when i back up, my blue/purple isn't filtered at all, i don't have any red reflectors, and my turnsignals are blueblubs (white lights) and there is no red... only my brakes are red...

Do you have any pic of them, and where did you get them, and for how much???

from those pics, those tailights are one of the cf tails available. it has the red ring surrounding the reverse light that he did not want.

ooh... but i think that you could just crack open the taillights and remove the red rings... but i like them, it makes it look like mad eyes or something.... lol

i think clear tails are legal as long as it has red lights. cuz take the R30 for example. the tail lights are really clear until the brake lights turn on. then the red lights turn on. but then and again, its DOT approved

Take note, they dont fit perfectly just like the stocks ones but IMO they do look better thats why I keep them on. You will only notice it if you really go right next to it to see the details.

True that the R30 doesn't have a red-reflector on the actual tail lamp assembly...but notice that there's a red reflector on the bumper? That satisfies the DOT requirement for a red reflector in the rear.

Speaking of tailights, I heard something about sealing them when you put them on, how is that done? What is it for? Please let me know because I'm installing them on Sunday.
