    powering a PS2??

I went with the A/V setup...

Does anyone know how to power the PS2/xbox when hooking it up in your car?

Do you have to buy a converter? thanks...

Yup, you're going to have to buy an inverter. It converts your car's power to a regular A/C jack like in your house.

yea, you need to get a power inverter. like stated earlier, it converts the dc (what the car runs) to ac (what the ps2 runs)..i hear from a lot of people that the ps2 cannot handle harsh rides and might skip..a better alternative was an XBOX or other dvd player that was meant to be in a car video setup.

    yeah just buy an inverter

you can get one a 400 Watt inverter at costco for pretty cheap. That's what I use to power my 188 watt Z-560 subwoofer in my trunk. But be careful, you can't draw too much power from the outlet. I've already blown 3 fuses. ( I guess plugging in two of the subwoofers wasn't a good idea). I hear it's better to directly connect to the batter. The only question now is how much the alternator can handle.... anyone?

Re: yeah just buy an inverter

Hahaha, sorry. thats kinda funny. The PS2/Xbox only pull about 100 watts max. I'll let u all know the outcome.

We're going to have HALO tournaments on long drives!

I found a dealer on Ebay that sold it for $26 + s/h. Sounddomain.com had it for $42. I went to a place in the sounddomain website where it says "we will beat any online dealers price by 105%"... entered the link for them and they responded back and gave it to me for like $23 + s/h. So tecnically I got it from Sounddomain.com

If you want the link to the origional dealer let me know and I'll dig it up

here is a current auction on Ebay for it: $17 + s/h

I have a 400W hardwired to my battery. So, no blown fuses here yet.. but I haven't used much over 150W yet anyway... the cooling fan turns on above that majik number.
