Fiberglass "touring" wing on a Corolla??

I must admit I dislike OEM wings (check my actual car) and I love fiberglass "touring" wing look (NOT the ugly aluminium 2 feets tall wing). I'm wondering how it can look on a Corolla? I'm pretty sure somebody already try it? Any pics? I'm talking about this wing :

i haven't seen a 03-05 rolla with a touring wing yet..some people have put other kinds of wings though. i think an aluminum wing is nicer than a touring wing..heh, my opinion

Humm, I dislike tall alumium wing, but maybe if I find a very low alumium wing I can like it...

    Maybe something like that...?

i used to have an aluminum wing on my car..it was painted black and was lower than that wing..only bout 6" high above the trunk. I took it off and was gonna put it back on once i had a kit and cf hood...but im parting out the rolla already so a cf wing is probably gonna be on my tC if i decide to get a wing at all.

OK, I got an idea! I'll get this one (shown above), I'll cut the legs to make the spoiler around 3-4" tall (at max) and I'll paint it body assorted (probably get a "moonshadow" colored car).

Is it sounding like a good idea? :)

I'd save the wing for one of your last mods, otherwise you're gonna look like a complete ricer.

I'm not sure to be agree with you... do you think my SE-R look like a complete ricer cause I put a huge aftermarket wing as my first mod in addition to the wheels? :?

no because it's a wing that goes w/ the car and has been painted to match. It looks very clean on your car. IMO aluminum wings look horrible on 98% of cars, the exceptions i've seen have been high HP drift cars like silivias. if you can buy it at autozone it's usually not worth putting on the car.(not including bulbs and whatnot)

I'd rather see the touring wing on your car then the aluminum one.

My ride of 2 years ago (Sentra GXE 2002) with a fiberglass touring wing. Maybe this will help you to give ideas on touring wings. :)

I actually hink it look damn good! 8)

You mean than fiberglas wing are better than alum wing?

The only problem I meet with my fiberglass wing in the past (shown above) was the overall rigidity of the wing. The fiberglass was not the stronger material on the market and this make the wing to "fold" (kinda "vibrating") a little bit when hitting a bump/hole and when I drove fast (lot of wind). That's the only bad point who make me hesitate about the fiberglass wing... :(

The aluminium was strong and light weight... two good points.

Maybe some manufacturer build stronger fiberglass wing... The one I put on my blue Sentra was pretty cheap (around 250$ CDN), maybe if I pay a little more I can get a stronger one. The one I got on my blue Sentra was the JSP Grand-Touring wing. (www.jspamerica.com)
