i thought they couldn't mark up the price. I thought that scion made a set price and there was to be no dealer markup and what you see is what you get with no negotiating necessary..?

Base MSRP* (includes standard features) Manual $16,465
    Automatic $17,265

    Why haggle?
Life shouldn't require haggling. So we sell our cars based on a "pure price" experience - every product and service offered by our dealers is menu-priced. You order exactly the accessories you want and skip what you don't - the price offered at your dealer's is exactly what you'll pay. No hassle. No haggle.

The price posted at your dealer's is the price you'll pay for your vehicle, including accessories and financing. What you see is what you get. The bottom line is that you'll know the bottom line. We build the exact Scion you want and you know exactly how much you'll pay for it.

*2005 Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price as of 6/2/2004, including the Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee. (Historically, vehicle manufacturers and distributors have charged a separate fee for processing, handling and delivering vehicles to dealerships. Toyota's charge for these services is called the "Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee" and is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Toyota provides as well as Toyota's overall pricing structure. Toyota may make a profit on the Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee.) Excludes taxes, license, title and available or regionally required equipment. Actual dealer price may vary.
