TRD--- Strut Bar

does anyone have this?

A lot of people have strut bars from TRD to other brands. I got the TRD strut bar on just last week. I got it for $130 shipped. It's more expensive, but I love the shape and design of the TRD strut bar. I may not have some of the more technical enhancements the new XRS has, but I like to know that my Corolla is close to it.

I lucked out, and bought mine in the "Buying/Selling" section for $75! I still haven't installed it yet because winter came. Toyota was asking for $90 for installation!
I went back there for my 24,000km oil change and now they told me $40 bucks.

cost that much to install at the dealer? You should install it yourself. 5 minute installation.

what he said..just do it yourself, probably one of the easiest mods you will ever do.

It doesn't do much for me. I still get a lot of body roll and chasis twisting, but it's better than not having one at all. I just need to get better tires now.

The installation is simple. You remove the 3 nuts on each strut tower and put it on ... then you screw it back on ... at 29lb/ft if you have a torque wrench .. if not .. just make sure it's tight ...

I got mine last year for $120. I think cheapest i saw was 108.

I mainly bought it for the name and cuz i wanted to do a white/gray theme ...

installed the TRD strut bar on my car.. didn't feel that much of a difference.. then after 8 months.. i drove my friend's stock corolla S, felt like crap... i love how my corolla S handles with the TRD sturt.. u can feel the grovel one ur finger tips

I see what CorollaX was talking about. After I dropped off my Corolla at the dealer for some warranty work, they gave me a Corolla rental. Man, I could feel a huge difference in handling. I could feel the drift, lean, stress, and everything that goes with sharp turns. I got so use to my Corolla's handling that I didn't realize how crappy stock handlng was. What a huge difference.

Strut bars trully work. I tried going on the freeway interchnage at 80mph with the rental, felt everything. My whole body was leaning to the right. I never felt like that with my car. Barely a lean at 80mph. Way to go TRD.

its only off 1/4 inch off, but no give how do i make it fit no refunds iIcalled him he said it should fit

I had a similar problem when I had my bar put on. The bolts didn't line up exactly because they shifted over time or got out of alignment. I used a screwdriver to pry the strut bolt hole onto the bolts. Once it is on, you can wiggle it around until finally all 3 bolts are in. Then gradually tighten with a ratchet until tight, and then torque to 29 ft-lb.
