chr0me has one i believe. I dont think you can buy an actual kit, but you can buy small parts from the hardware store and do it yourself.

Yep that's the style I'm talking about! Is that just a simple mod that you can do from a hardware store...if so can you let me know how? or is it a kit? Thanks again for any help!

It's not a kit and it's not expensive. You just have to change the trunk bracket !

I don't know exactly how ! Maybe did someone can post a diy ?

I did this mod on our car... it is simple and inexpensive to do... however I'm looking at trying to make it more practical. The way it works is by adding a 3" hinge at the end of the regular trunk brackets. You simply screw the hinge into the trunk lid and into the factory hinge "bar" and then re-install the bolts for the trunk lid. Then to get it to flip down you simply raise the trunk lid... take out the bolts and hinge it down. You have to be careful to not let the corners of the trunk lid hit the body of the car though. You have to pull the trunk lid down part way to clear the body.

Like I said... I'm looking to figure a way to make it more custom and user friendly... but it works for now!

The trunk opens normally just fine. however when you want it to open up like the picture you showed you need to remove the bolts so that the extra hinge can operate to give it the desired look. Thats the simple inexpensive way to do it. I know they sell kits to do it that use hydraulic rams and what not. but the way I did it and the way I've seen a lot of other people do it... yeah... you need to cary around a wrench when you want it to open the other way. Hope that clears it up a little.

the kit instructions i purchased don't require the wrench set up. It has you install some window locks....sorry about the wait guys....too much crap goin on right now to do this....i'll do my best to do this possibly sunday....
