It costs so much more and it only comes in red though. But hey, if you're happy with it, good for you.

Even at $210, it's still $50 more than the AEM SRI.

Kind of ironic with that TRD avatar, but not surprising with that bootleg TRD Oil Cap.

It is, isn't it? But who wants to pay $30-40 for an oil cap? I sure don't. I hear you though.

Yeah, there's a lot of choices for intakes as far as the 03/04 Corolla's concerned. THat's good though. At least we know that the Corolla is getting more respect as a race inspired vehicle than just an economy sedan. Especially with the new XRS coming out, that should be a big step in creating a new generation of agressive Corollas.

I think we really have to consider the type of filters we use too, not just the intake design. I'm surprised no one here has a K&N Typhoon short ram intake. They make the best filters too. Everyone else is getting either TRD or AEM. That is all I keep hearing in all the intake threads.

I almost bought the K&N, but I could not find it for a decent price. I figured that the TRD CAI is much better that a SRI, so for the same $$ I got the TRD.

The Toyota dealership over here (Northridge) sells the K & N intake kit but I've never bothered asking how much it was since I'm planning on putting in an AEM SRI in the near future. I'll drop by in the next couple of days to see how much.

Greetings from the Land Down Under (Australia)

I too have installed the TRD CAI onto my Corolla Sportivo (matrix equivalant) I must say the responce and increase in power was worth the money :) im very very happy :)

It's exactly the same one that you guys have. The only thing that I had to do was modify the brackets for my particular model of corolla.

you will need to cut the pipe in 1/2 before u can install the bypass valve on the AEM CAI though, its not like plug n' play kinda...
    its your choice =)
