Just what the heck is that?

The actuator controls boost limit by bypassing excess intake air pressure back to the throttle body. It was used with the 3rd generation TRD Eaton M-62 supercharger...The current 4th generation unit actually has the bypass valve cast into the supercharger body. http://www.gadgetonline.com/Super.htm

Hmm, I didn't even know I have that part. Then again, I didn't install it either.

It's a part that one of the matrix guys had a problem with. It changes to allow boost to be activated and deactivated depending on throttle position. In one case the actuator was stuck and the car remained in boost conditions at all times...........Not a good thing.
