got them fedex today, and just finished puting them in, it was a fairly easy install. I figured I would share the way I did it, because previous posts seemed like it was way more difficult than it is.

On the front mount, you dont even have to jack up the engine. remove the 2 bolts holding the motor mount to the unibody(or engine brace) underneath the car, then remove the bolt going through the mount. Pull the hwole mount straight up and out the engine bay. put in your inserts, put the mount straight back in and tighten all bolts back up. now it gets tricky. Pull the 4 bolts out the drivers side motor mount, directly behind the battery. pull the 2 bolts and 3 nuts off the rear mount where it bolts to the unibody under the car. Pull out the bolt going throuhg the rear motor mount, the best way to do this is 12" extention and go in behind the drivers side front tire, there is a clear shot to it right next to the CV axle. Now, get yout floor jack and put it under the transmission. jack it up as far as it goes easily, dont put anyhting in a bind. Get under the car and look up right past the cat converters and you have a clear view of the motor mount. push it straight up. **The mount will not come all the way out of the engine bay** but it will give you plenty of room to put the inserts in. let the engine back down, tighten all bolts.

It only took me about 1hr and 15 mins, and that was because i had to look at everything and figure out the best way to do it, knowing this, it could def be done in 45 mins.

well, they def gave the car a more agressive feel. The only thing that sucks is at idle, its not just a little shakey, its bad. other than that it feels real good. And to answer eveyones question, yes, it eliminated wheel hop, completey. What more can you ask for at $26? It def looses the "luxury" feel, but I wanted to loose that

are you running ground wires? supposidly these help stabilize idle. might be a good thing here. .

sounds like you had an easier time then me.... i never thought of taken the driver side mount off.. good idea there.. i actually ended up taking the braket off the engine to get the room i needed. took me about 2 hours. and i agree with you wheel hop is gone but that idle is rough.

if it were to go on the DIY page, i would gladly go back over the whole thing and take pictures.

The method I used was pretty easy and actually enjoyable. It should also be considered;
First, I un-clipped the shifter cables from the tranny and moved them out of the way. I then removed 2 bolts securing the rear mount to the tranny and the long bolt securing it to the lower mount section. I then only had to jack the car to remove the lower tranny mount bolt. The mount's top section was easily pulled out, cleaned and inserts installed. I then dropped it back in place, started the top bolts in, then while supporting the car, jacked the tranny SLIGHTLY to start and tighten the lower tranny mount bolt. After lowering the car, I simply tightened the 3 top bolts and secured the shifter cables back on. That's it! Figuring it out, and looking for tools all took me just over an hour. I then did the front mount.

I'm not familiar with this energy mount. What exactly does it do? It looks like it's giving you guys a rough ride. Shouldn't that be the opposite?

The 'Energy Suspension' front and rear 'torque position' urethane motor mount inserts for manual tranny stabilize the powertrain under torque loads (acceleration and engine braking), enabling better power transfer, while reducing bobbing and hoping, thus improving launching, shifting and overall control. They only cause a dull vibration at idle which seems to fade after 'break in'... I don't even notice it after almost 2 weeks now. It also diminishes strain on the mounts, powertrain, exhaust, wires, CAI, etc. It does create a nice tight responsive feel. I love 'em and would never take them out, especially with power mods.

where can i get these 'energy mounts' ? and what would be a resonalbe price to pay for installation?

I got a black set from 'Suspension Restoration Parts' in Modesto California http://www.suspension.com for only $25 (USD) + $4.40 for air mail to Canada. PTuning http://www.ptuning.com/html/search...&cmbMakeModel=matrix&cmbBrand=es&cmbYear=2003 sells the red ones for $30 + shipping. They are only listed for the Matrix but also fit 2003+ manual Corolla's.
You can expect to pay about 1 to 1.5 hours labour...

would there be any warranty issues w/ this?

there is some degree of warranty risk with every mod we complete, even if it might be just time lost from a hassle.

dont mod what you cant afford to fix without the warranty.

...hopefuly I'll have mine installed when my TRD CAI arrives, probably next Wends. Kind of odd b/c I've had the inserts for weeks.
