    Is your air conditioner weak?

I drive an 03 S and drove with the windows down and moon roof open all summer so I didnt notice this last year but when I turn on the AC it seems to be extremly weak compared to my old Lumina (you would be shivering if you left the air on). I mean it was only 70 outside but was sunny and I had the AC at full speed and all the way set to cool and it made it only comfortable in car. If it was any warmer it wouldnt be of much use. Anyone else have these problems? Should I take it to a dealer? How much does the black interior affect this?

If it isn't cool at all, then take it to the dealer to have it fixed under warranty.

Check out this TSB. I had the same problem with the A/C. It's because the evaporator freezes over with ice.

i dont know guys, but both my trix and rolla will get refrigerator cold inside if you dont turn the thermostat up. (set to recirculate, fan on low or med)

guess i just got lucky. (or maby they work better down here where its hot all the time...)

theres a resistor that toyota makes that goes into the wireing harness the keep the evaporator from freezing... if your under warranty toyota will do it otherwise you have to buy it.

Yep mine isnt that cold either. It sometimes takes a while for it to get cold in there, and Im uncomfortable for 10 minutes or so.
