Cost a bit more than the leather seats in the other threads -- about 25 grand. I think I'm on that "$900 per month for the next 400 years" plan.

It just seemed to be a better investment than spending $1,500 on an XRS seat, then maybe that kind of money again to have a pro shop add leather to everything. A TON more money, though!!

Good luck with the new car, and hopefully youll still drop by here every once in a while still? So did you trade the rolla in on the accord, or what was the rollas fate?

Nice... you sprung for the DVD-based NAV system. Gas mileage aside, the Accord is great car!

    Tro,

I indeed traded the Corolla in -- after only 11 payments. I first thought I'd be something like $3,000 upside down on the loan, but then figured it was more like $1,500 on a rough guess with half the facts. In the end, they actually gave me $100 more for it than I owed on it -- a $100 trade-in on a $25,000 car!! At any rate, chalk that one up to Toyota resale value, and 2.9 percent financing, which helped me knock that balance down very quickly!

Actually, this doesn't have the navigation system, but it does have XM radio built in, with a nice big display. Oh, and a six-disc in-dash changer. All controllable with controls on the steering wheel... :p

This is the four-cylinder, and gas mileage was BETTER than most anything else I checked out -- 24 city / 34 highway. Tons of power to get up to speed or pass, so I don't see spending more money on the V6, then LOTS more money to feed it...

Yep, 4-cylinder. The V6 adds a little "V6" emblem below the "Accord" emblem, plus it has dual chrome-tipped exaust pipes.

The Corolla showed me how well a car can do with a four-cylinder engine -- I always had more than plenty of power to get up to speed entering the freeway, or to pass slowpokes on the open road. The Accord 4-cylinder seems to power this car not only as well, but better. Tons of power, plenty of response, then toss in great handling -- unlike the Civic line, Accord still has the dual-wishbone setup. And, this has some serious rubber -- P205/60 R16, V-rated. Bridgestone Turanza EL41 tires -- not the best out there, but totally respectable. I'll do better when I replace them, but it's not like the "get those things OFF of my car!!" Firestones that were on my Corolla!

Oh, and the wheels are really, really, really nice. "Machined" look to them -- just very nice.

Back to the four-banger -- this has a timing chain, not a belt, like the V6 does. So, like the Corolla, I'm still with a chain instead of a belt -- GREAT!!

Accord 4-cylinder automatic gets 24 / 34 mileage -- V6 is 21 / 30, according to my brochure. Then again, it says my 4-cylinder mileage is only 24 / 33, while my sticker actually says 24 / 34. Go figure...

The XM radio is very, very cool, as are the seats -- just infinitely comfortable. With the tilting / telescoping wheel and adjustable lumbar support, it's hard NOT to find a comfortable position. Plus, these are two-way heated seats, with a High setting to burn your butt, and a Low setting to keep it warm. :D

Payments are scary-high, though -- this is a boatload of money for me. I'll have to tighten my belt on some of my other spending, that's for sure!

jeebus cristos, that car is beautiful. I actually was a week away from buying the V6
before I had "complications". Don't get me wrong. I love my rolla and everything I've
done to it. All I'm sayin' is if a V6 Accord Coupe fell into my lap, my rolla would be bye-bye.

    :(
I was hoping to find a solution to this problem in this thread. I've only had my car for a week and a half and I am already feeling uncomfortable driving it because of the seat position.

But anyways, congrats on your Accord! It looks great! 8)
