    Corolla vs. deer, driver wins

Well, I wrecked my brand new car. I was doing 80mph on a two-lane heading home around midnight and smacked right into a deer.

The deer flew over my car and the airbag went off. I actually didn't feel the airbag, though. The seat belt kept me from hitting it and I was still moving at a pretty good speed after I hit. I had no control anymore, though and was pretty much along for the ride as the car rolled into a deep ditch and fell in on its side. I had to climb out the passenger door.

I didn't get a good look at the front of the car, but I'm pretty sure it's totalled. I, on the other hand, after a few cuts and bruises and a day and a half in the hospital am very much alive, thanks to the awesome build quality of my car. It gave its life for mine.

Once the insurance money comes in, my next stop will be the Toyota dealership so I can get another one.

As for the deer, I kinda wish I'd gone back to get it so I could mount its head on my wall. Oh well.

Just glad that you are ok. A car can be replaced, you can't.

Good to know you are all right. Sorry to hear about your Corolla though. That would have been great to have that deer head mounted.
"Yeap. I got that one coming home one night....."

I was rear ended about 4 months ago and spent $4800 to bring it back to life. I don't know whats worse, to completely messup the car or having to fix it after the incident.
