    Unichip question for the S/C

Has anyone had the Unichip professionally installed and tuned on a supercharged 2003 1ZZ-FE set up?

If so, I would like to hear your impressions on this performance upgrade.

    Thanks.

I installed hooolala's Unichip with him on his S/C 04. Unichip had assured us that it would solve his pinging problems (he had an 03 TRD piggyback and it was not working out). BIG MISTAKE! Unichip tested/tuned their ECU piggyback on a S/C 03 (they used blk03corolla's car) and also an N/A 04, but never a S/C 04. I guess you can blame hooolala (David) for that one though. TRD had told him even before he bought the S/C that the fuel mappings on the 04 were different and that the S/C piggyback would not work. Of course, David figured, "it's all the same car," so he went ahead and bought it anyway. Then he was embarrassed.

When the Unichip failed to correct the pinging problems on his S/C 04, David ended up taking it to Bauer Porsche (sp?) in Oakland, CA for dynotuning. They remapped the Unichip and now it's working perfectly. We're hoping they upload the S/C 04 programming to Unichip for future buyers.
