    ok... this is just wrong

a cop knocking on my door and woke me up this this morning, he told me some one called because they saw my car got jackup and all four rims got stolen. i ran out and just like what the cop said, all the wheels are gone. since i sold my stock wheels, i can't drive my car then till my new rims arives. i'm going to try to claim $1500 from my insurance to pay for my new rims and use the extra money to buy Surveillance Camara to watch my Car every night..

but there are few good news
    1) they didn't brake into my car or drive my car away, all they take is the rims (thank god)
    2) i will have some extra money to buy other stuffs (my new set of rims cost about $800)
    3) i just save a bunch of money with geico (LOL..... just playing)

U mean a new Mazda 3? Because they stoped making the Protege after the 03 model. Or was it a Protege 5? The 5 door model.

My friend and I test drove a new Mazda 3 5 door today. It was the S model, there really nice. There actually pretty quick too, atleast the 5 speeds are. But it was going for $20,000, which is too expensive for me.

Is there any way to protect the rims from being taken off? Like a lock or something?

Wow that sucks, its good to hear you have humor about it though David. If i got jacked i would have been so pissed, even with the extra money. Good thing they didnt break into the car though.

Wheel locks work to a degree. Back in my college days, I drove a 92 GTi 16V that came with BBS wheels. I had two different wheel locks on each wheel. The theives solution? Steal the entire car. Wheel locks will stop the average smash-n-grab artist, but the true professionals will find other ways to get your car. That's why if I'm modifying any car, it's 99% under the hood/exhaust/transmission. That way my cars don't become targets for thieves.

And for David, good thing you have insurance!

In other words, wheel locks will stop thieves just looking for a new wheelset. But if someone really wants your wheelset, they'll steal the entire car either by towing it away via sling-style or flatbed tow truck. It doesn't matter at that point how many wheel locks there are on a wheelset. Given enough time, anything can be broken.

Sorry to hear that Hoola. I had some retard break into my car just to get my insurance card and registration. Too bad I live in Louisiana and the car was registered in Texas. I guess the license plate would have been a dead give-a-way if the thied had had a clue.
No, they didn't get my personal info other than my address because neither lists anything else. Also, I traded the car in on my Corolla.

I would love to catch a thief in action. And for legal reasons no more can be said on that topic.

    Let's see some pictures!

If anyone asks why your car has no wheels, you just cooly tell them that your car is special, custom-built. It flies!

Hehe... he's going to hate on me for this. LOL
