Aftermarket, Front strut/spring combination 98-02 Corolla

Does anyone know of an available mfgr for the "ready to install" strut/spring combination for the 98-02 Corolla ? I have checked with Auto-Zone and Advance, It almost looks like they are not made for these models.

    Thank You,

well, if i were you i wouldn't get my springs/struts from either autozone OR advance..but that's just me.

and no, i don't believe a suspension kit really exists...just get a set of struts and springs and you're good to go. if you shop carefully you can get really badass deals on both.

I have always been an OEM fan, (and still so) But, will only have the car 1-2 more years and all OEM would get kind of $$. Trying to save some money and somehow get new struts. I agree, should avoid the 3rd party stuff in this case.

Are the struts bad? If so..since you're selling it, buy the cheapest warranteed ones you can find..

Tokicos have lifetime warranties, but you'll pay $300+ for a set of 4. :)

that's why Eric recommended KYB, i'm guessing...their OEM replacement strut is pretty cheap.

    Probably :p

CraigW: My OEM struts were still good after 120,000 miles...out of curiosity, how many miles are on the car?

Well, it is at 102k miles, I have no leaks and no excessive bouncing. Just slight noise on certain bumps and potholes. The car has not been driven hard but the roads SUCK!! So they may not be bad.

I would not want to adjust height any (it is already too low in rear)

My original plans were to do OEM strut and mounts, But with labor that is a pretty good investment, with my sites set on a 03 or later Corolla.....Within a year or two just kicking around some ideas.

just get a set of KYBs and replace them yourself...you can do it in a house garage(or on a parking pad, lol) if you have the right tools.

I just wanna stop my bottoming out. So i need new springs and struts. I don't really want my car lowered because i have bad enough problems as it is. I just wanna stop the soft suspension. One person sits in the back and the car drops alot. I got alot of rubbing with my worn out suspension. Even 2 shops told me my suspension is worn out. With only 44k on it lol
I'm thinking tokico struts with new OEM springs. But i heard thats a bad combination

If that's the case, lowering your car will probably reduce/eliminate your rubbing problems..don't forget that they're much stiffer than stock. :)
