I heard from the Toyota dealer that the new XRs will have a supercharger as an option. Has anyone heard about that?

Rolla_dink says it looks kind of like the rsx, I agree.
It might just be me, but does the design of this car appear to be a mix of a few more cars too?
So far, I can see the headlights of the new series bimmers, front grill and hood of the r34 skyline gt-r or wrx, curves and taillights of hyundai tiburon, lines of the acura rsx, rear end body shape of the new dodge neon and bumpers of acura tl. I also the think the front end has some corolla influence to it at a side view. I might be the only one to notice these similarities. But still looks like a clever mix, and I'd love to actually get a chance to see it in person when it comes out.

Toyota is good at taking the best of many car companies and shoving into one of their lines of cars. Just look at Lexus and the luxury car line. They took the parts of the german engineering and made it "more luxurious", that is why they are number one in the luxury line right now.

I do however would like to test drive the tC when they come out, mostly out of curiosity. I love my rolla and intended on driving it into the ground, or until my wife forces me to buy something else ... :( that was the fate of my MR2....personally I still think the baby seat would have mounted to the engine cover just fine!

question.... how could the Xrs come with a supercharger option?....is there a supercharger for the 2zz i dont know about?

No TRD S/C for the 2ZZ.......at least not yet. The already high compression will be an issue with any F.I. set up.

True, that's why I said TRD. With the compression of the 2ZZ, I don't see TRD or Toyota wanting to warranty S/C and retain the powertrain warranty as they do know with the 1ZZ-S/C set up.
