building a fiber glass box will update every week *pics*

hey ive been reading about it so i thought id give it a go w/ a small project iam gonna build a "simple" design fiber glass box that will hold 2 12's and that can be made out side the car and still be able to fit back in, they way iam doing can be done in diferent designs though, like the speakers can be facing each other etc.

i will be updating this every week (when i get paid to buy more stuff to do it) but it should only tike next weekend and maybe the one after that,

well heres how iam doin it

i measured the base of the trunk and the with of the opening of the trunk and got an estamate on how big it can be, then i cut strips of wood to create a base for it, i didnt want to use a solid piece of wood because i need to get to the inside later on for the glassing,

then i had to cut out circles that the speaker would be mounted on and the fiberglass
i didnt do that in the next couple pics because i ran outa wood but i will add the second ring later

then i had to decide where i want the the be positioned so i proped the rings up w/ wooden dowels and a hot glue gun

then i got some somewhat streatchy fabric and wraped it really tight around the design and the rings and attached it to the bse using a staple gun

    heres some finished pics

then i got some ifberglass resin from the hardware store and mixed it up and coated the fabric w/ it, this will harden in about 30 min but still wont be strong

to make it strong u have to buy faberglass shhets, soak the sheets in the resin and lay them on the inside of the box (if u do it on the out side i could get realy rought and you wond have to do ALOT of sanding this way it will be rough on the inside which no one will see ) this i will do next week then i will go about sealing it off w/ a solid peice of wood, and then finaly put it int he car and paint it
