    Installing: How Easy?

well i got everything for my system, so i goto a few Car Audio places around here,(i now live in naples, FL...moved here from NY about 6 months ago), and all these guys are quoting me @ 400 dolalrs for an instalL!!!!!!...IMO that is ridiculous, back home in NY ive gotten installs done for 150 dollars, and my buddy is a car audio technician and he says theres no way in hell a simple install like mines should cost that much...major ripoff IMO...so my question is, how easy would it be 2 install myself, some ppl have advised me 2 go 4 it, others have said itd be better to get it professionally done, me personally i dont think it can be 2 hard, and if i put enuff time i can do it

    this is what i have

    Pioneer HeadUnit
    Pioneer Front and Rear Speakers
    1 12' Kicker Sub
    800 Watt Kicker Amp

If your buddy is a car audio tech, maybe he can help you do it yourself, either in person on just be on the phone while you do it.

BTW, welcome to Florida. Warm enough for you today? We've been here since last December, moved down from New Hampshire. It was 88 degrees today (in Ocala). That's quite the difference from New England for March 5th huh?

well i think you can definatly do it w/o having to pay someone the deck is easy to replace just read the do it yourself guide on this site on how to take the stock one out and just rewire the new one in using a wiring harnes (if you didnt already get one) that way all you would have to do is match the color of wire s from the new cd player to the harness and just plug it into the stock connector that wasy you dont cut the cars wireing

then the cd player should have a RCA out for subwoofer or just rear or front out use the subwoofer one of coarse first if it has at and run the RCA line to where ever your gonna have the amp, (this will be the input for th amp) the the cd player should also have a blue wire coming out of it, this is the power on wire, this wire is on only when the radio is on, this wire will also be ran to whereever your amp will be, (this is what will turn on and off the amp)

now you will need to run the red power wire from the batery to the amp (this will be the always on power that will be used to power the subs) this can be a little tricky tryin to find a way to get out of the enigne compartmentt (i just ran it on the insaid e of the front fender and right through the door jam into the das) i would recomend doing this because the door might pinch the wire and blow the fuse, so try to fint a hole through the firewall or drill one,

now to run all these wires, asuming your amps gonna be in the back, run the wires from the cd player (the RCA and the blue wire) on the passenger side by runnning them behind the dash and then under those plastic trim between the door and the carpet (those pop right off s just be carfull)when you get to the back seat run them on the side/or under the rear seat (which pops right off also) and then to the trunk

run the power wire on the driver side the same way, under the trim hidden etc. and to the trunk, you dont want the RCA's and the main power wire to run right next to each other because you might get engine noise, if your amp has speaker outputs for 2 or more speakers use the positive on the 1st set and the negative on the second set this is called bridgeing and you will get more power this way
example if it looks like this
    1 2
+ - + - you would run the pos of the speaker to the fist connection and the negative to the las connection (the second negative)

then for the ground wire you can just bolt that to any piece of metal around it, ( i used the bolts that hold the taillight in place) then run the speaker wires from the amp to the subs of coarse,

as for the rear and front speakers just go by the do it your self in the site
