    My right sylvania silverstar just died today, i dont know why, i had it for about a year or less. Was it suppose to burn out that quickly?

    They are only rated at 6 months if I remember correctly.

    Maybe disable you DRLs

    I've had my silverstars in for almost a year now. When I put them in, I also disabled my DRLs. The DRL's run all the time plus when they do, it is only supplying about 80% or something like that of the power supply.

    yea i disabled my drl, i dont think im gonna buy anymore if it last for less than a year. I would get the HID, but i still havent paid my car off yet

    I was going through a set of bulbs every 30 days until I dissabled my Drls. But then again I was running modified high beam bulbs to run in my low beam sockets. So they were running 150W on the low beam, and 140W on the high beam. It lit the road real nice, and when driving beside cars with real HID's you coldnt tell the difference in color or brightness compared to mine.

    They were also rated at 5100K.
