    wow 30k, $richness$

depends what your goals are gona b with it..

in the awd/turbo category the sti blows the evo away quality wise, and looks wise imho

if your lookin at something u dont wana heavily mod, i say STI

if u wana go all out, IS300

theres just somethin about a boosted IS that makes me feel good inside :)

Yeah, I figured about 15k for our TC to be a beast of a machine. Looking to be on the "GO" side with a little bling here and there. Boosted of course.

dont really wanna mod a car that much... prob just the basics.... i already have enough trouble throwin 15k into my corolla... and i dont wanna go through that again...

one of my family member owns a avalon... personally i dont like it. too old fashion for me... and the new one looks like crap... yea i thought about the tc... but not enough hp for my taste. i drive a daily boosted rolla... and downgrading on hp/tq isnt gonna satisfy me.

you guys say the sti over the evo? how about the new evo 9 mr?

i dont like the looks of the rx-8 looks like crap... plus its a 2 door. im looking for a 4 door sedan. more convient.

Depends on what you're really looking for - nice and reliable can be taken quite a few ways.

IS300 and TL will give you reasonable performance and has good aftermarket support - but not as much cop bait material like the STi or Evo/MR. You could build them up pretty good and they don't attact as much attention. Unless that is what you are after.

You could also say the STi and Evo MR are starting to get played out - the dealership close to me gets M3, Boxters, and other high priced cars for trade on the STi and MRs. Tons of them out here.

But for something that is pretty tough to start and can fit the role of daily driver and still have enough GO - without spending some coin - I'd go STi. Suburu has shown better reliability and has less turbo lag than the MR. Plus with the Misubishi Motor financial situation always on the verge of going under - makes it that much sense.

A TC on boost can put down 400+ to the wheels(ScionSpeed TC), and still be cheaper than $30K. But then again, you wanted a 4 door sedan, and not a 2 door coupe/hatchback.

    um... main pt.

dont wanna dump 15 k worth of upgrades on a car.... been there and done it... its a pain in the ass... rather stick with something factory... and just do the basic intake/exhaust/etc.

    lookin for 4 door.

celica isnt 4 door. and dont have enough go... so is the spyder.... and the avalon is slow and ugly... my corolla is faster then all those cars... tc is nice but its a 2 door... and i dont wanna spend 15k worth of mods just to get it faster then a stock evo or sti.

how bout a mazda rx8? my cousin test drove the evo, sti, 350Z and some other car... he really liked the rx8... coz the ride of the rx8 was smooth... and he wanted something new like a rotary engine... kinda sucks in gas though...

    *Edit*

the rx8 is a 4 door suicide style... just like the phantom...
