Silverstars ... are brighter than stock, but I didn't notice that much of a difference in brightness ... they are a lighter "yellow" very close to white, but if it had maybe a higher intensity or something ... it would kick ass ... but still ... brighter ... in the dark ... i think i have to adjust my light ... the right is lower ...

anyhow .. XS is a straight through base bulb ... according to sylvannia it is mostly used in the chrysler/jeep type cars. ST has a right angle base that fits most other applications.

so ...get the ST ... and according to sylvania ... the XS is not a silverstar ... unless it is XS ST ... which denotes ... Silverstar

    Enjoy the bulbs ... i hope you aren't paying more than 30 ... pep boys has it for 34 - 6 rebate ... i think there's a post at VVTI.net

silverstar is more for looks.. i've had my silverstars for a while now... my passanger side went out about a month ago, i put my oem bulb back in, i notice a big difference.

the oem side is brighter, and has more visibility. yes i was driving with silverstar on one side, oem on the other....

well my other silverstar finally went out, im putting my other oem bulb back in =p

can sylvana blubs burn your headlight harness

just wondering if i get the sylvanna 9006 bulbs, what wattage should it be and can it cause a fire. Also would like to know if the hook up are easy. Is it that i just plug the bulbs in or do i have to customize it so that it will fit. Thankx

ummm... i don't want to sound stupid and all ... but

when i installed my lights ... the manual said there was a "button" to release the bulb... Mine had this blue clip on the bottom of the bulb and i had to pull these tabs on the middle of the bulb and pull the bulb out ...

What is the blue thing i pulled out first? does it matter which way it goes on?
    is there a "release button"?

    thanks!
