    "OEM" fogs: install

I just installed "OEM" fogs on my 'O4 LE. They look and work great. BUT if you think you'll slip them in with no mods, think again. You have to file an eighth to quarter inch off each corner of the light, seal it up with silicone AND cut the back part of the hole in the bumper about one half inch larger. They must be "OEM" for some other model. They don't have a DOT symbol on them either. Wiring was straight forward. The switch is lighted and looks almost stock. I didn't see any DOT symbol and sometimes oncoming drivers flash their brights at me. Just a heads up for you do it your selfers. :)

I assume you got them from eBay or 4optioni.com somewhere like that, because my OEM fog lights fit 100%, no mod required at all.

Hey Darren, where did you end up buying your foglights from? I am ready to buy a set now that the body kit stuff is out of the way. Did you wire them up yourself?

I bought the same "OEM" fog lights off ebay and yes they need some modification to fit, that was clear in the auction though.

All I had to do was modify the bumper, I didn't cut the lights or open them at all. Cutting the bumper was time consuming, mostly because I wanted to dremel out as little as possible to make them fit. All in all, the install took about 1-2 hours, and a good bit of the factory fog light openings needed to be dremel'd out.

I don't know that these lights are OEM for any toyota and like mrcee said, there's no DOT symbols whatsoever. However, at the cost of $85 shipped for everything (including that switch with LED which IMO is pretty l33t) I'd say it was definitely worth it.
