Most bulbs that are made in a 3057 should also be made in a 3157. If you're getting the bulbs to replace your turn signals, then any company, PIAA, Mtec, Sylvania, etc. makes pretty much the whole range of applications. So for example, if you want to get the PIAA 3157 Extreme White Bulbs, you can get them in 1156, 3157, etc. etc. etc. Unless the bulbs you are getting is EXTREMELY rare, I doubt that have to go and get a modified 3057. Look for whatever bulb you want in a 3157.

well it is not a mod, there is a seller on Ebay that has silverstars selling and I asked abou tthe 3157, he said that he has 3057 in a 3157 application and they work fine, I am getting all siverstar fo rmy headlights, so he was going to give me a discounted price for the turns.

Well you can get real Sylvania SilverStar 3157A (front turn signal is 3157A while rear is lights are 3157... the only diff. is that the 3157A has a larger bulb, although the actual shape and fit of the bulb is the same) directly from Sylvania for only about $25 or so. I put them in. They would look much better if I had cleared out my headlamps (project for summer). They definitely look good though and they still light up amber, which in California, headlamp turn signals can only display either bright white or amber, so it's legal.

An 1157/1156 has a different base than the 3156/3157's. That would not be a PnP mod.
