    Short Shifter Boot

Since I just ordered my MOMO shift knob, and my short-shifter is on it's way, I am researching smaller boots. There have been some other posts, but I don't think anyone checked this out:

    http://www.gforceperformance.com/shiftboots/shift.asp

Custom made, and cheaper than most aftermarket boots. I just may order one.

Cool, nice find man. I was one of those people who probably posted in the thread you read abot short shifters and boots. Which momo knob did you get? My plan was to order the shifter, boot and knob all at the same time but I never figured out what to do about the boot, so I haven't. :(

Short shifter installed tonight. In the dark, 45 minutes... AND what a B*tch getting that clip thing off! Geez. Took 2 screwdrivers and a hammer. The shifter makes a big difference, almost like driving a different car. I like it.

So, as soon as I get my knob, I will be getting my custom short boot. I believe that they may be able to use the pattern to sell more of them, so I will keep updating as I can.

after you get the short sifter, is the shifting still really sloppy like it is stock?

what do you mean by sloppy? There hardly any play in the shifter at all, shifts are half the length they were. Before it was 1st, -cuh-clunk- 2nd cuh-clunk, ...now it's 1st, clunk- 2nd, clunk...etc. Lots faster LOL. Anyway, the shifting is really tight, I like it. Requires more effort to shift... Worth the money.

i hate to ask a stupid question, but did you actually install a short shifter or just saw off the stock shifter to a better height?

i was thinking about a new one on my '04 S, but if it's better to install an actual short shifter than take a hacksaw to the thing, i'd rather do that. also, if anyone's done this and knows what it takes (read that as: "knows how much of a pain in the ass it is to put the new shifter in"), i'd appreciate the input.

Where can I find this TWM short shifter. I got à SPARCO biochrome but with the stock shifter it's look like a truck shifter. It's a lot too high !

any website where I can order one ?
