    Tinting Front Windows

Okay, for all I know you can't put ANY tint on my front driver/passenger side window. I want go 5% on my rear, I'm really curious to find out what i can get away w/ for the front. I hear some of you guys have 32% and have no problems w/ the Police Officers. By the way I live in LA and travel to Orange Country often.

I'm really scared to tint the windows... but it looks so nice. But I can't get away w/ anything. The other day i was pulled over at LAX for not having a front license plate! I'm just waiting for the day they're gonna pull me over for having HIDs. I just know it!

    Bleh... Help please?

I tinted my fronts and got pulled over in SD (I live in OC atm), for for something retarded (it was my fault though), and he wanted to be a dick and tag me for my windows as well.

I have to call the court tomorrow and figure out if I have to pay the fine. If my gf is right though, it actually isn't a shabby deal. The fixit ticket is $10, and to retint the fronts alone would cost $50. I think I owe the court $58. Kinda makes me wish I tinted my windows at limo all the way around. I have 6% rears and fronts at %12 or something like that. I did my gfs car at 6% rears and 32% fronts for xmas. No trouble yet but Irvine cops are really lenient. I'll find out about the fine and update my post later.

Woah dude, that's crazy dark tint on the front. I'm most likely gonna do limo tint in the back and MAYBE 32 in the front. MAYBE...I just don't want the hassle w/ the cops.

Yea LAPD has got to be worse than IPD. Most of the cars here in Irvine have crazy tint on them. I'll try and take a pic of my gfs car when I'm not too lazy so you can see 6% and 32%.

Thanks, I'm really curious what that would look like. Did you do it yourself? or some place locally? My hometown is Huntington Beach... real close to irvine.

Yea HB is real close. I had it done in Costa Mesa. Her car was about $160 after tax, mine was about $170 after tax. I asked for a discount the second time and he hooked me up.

California law is that the front driver and passenger side windows can only be tinted to a max. of 70%. For the windshield, you can only apply the tint to the top 4 inches of the windshield.

I thought Cali law was that you CANNOT tint the windows at all unless you have a doctors note or yadda yadda. Is that with the exception King ?

Well, here's 6% and 32% up front. I took the pics right now which isn't a very good time in the day to take pics but you get the general idea.
