black altezzas

    black altezzas

    ive decided on the black altezzas, but which do you think will look better? the apc retros

    anything will look better than the retros

    my major problem w/ the black altezzas is that they have a thick silver outline...so it will clash w/ your black corolla :?

    it cant clash anymore than the chrome altezzas i have now. also iv seen the black jdm's on a black matrix and they looked hot, i almost crashed my work truck. i just wanted some opinions, because i think that the retros are fugly. but maybe theyll look hot on the car itself.

    I would def go with the jdm's. I actually bought those tail light covers and painted them black. it has the effect of the jdm's except they match my paint and it looks really good. The only problem is that i still have that pinkish looking light on the trunk so it looks a little weird. so go with the jdm's or try the tail covers. stay away from the retro's, it's not the year 2050 yet

    ah good point...lol they wont look as bad as the chrome...but i think they would look a whole lot cleaner if they didn't have the silver

    Just a thought, what if you buy the black ones then put the chrome trim around them it might cover up the white around the edges and look good, and would be something different.

    i thought about that, but i want to go chromeless on my car. i just took off the lettering on my trunk, and it looks great. the toyota symbol in the middle is going to be colormatched to the car.

    ok how bout this, you buy the chrome things and paint them another color im guessing that might do it but i dont know.

    I know everyone hates the retro's but I still haven't given up on them yet until I see them in person. The other day I saw a car (either a civic Si or a focus) with the retros that were painted to match the car. I didn't get a real good look but enough to say that it definitely looked better than any pic I have seen of the lights by themselves. The general shape of the retros looks cool but since they stick out kinda far and don't have a lens/cover they seem kinda wierd.

    About the JDM's... they look cool but I agree with what has been said about that clear border around the lights.
