    Not Another Fiberglass box..

Here's the sub box that I'm currently using. Spent less than $20 to finish everything up 8)

I have a thick sweatshirt that I've worn for years and it would be a waste to just throw it away, so I found a use for it. I fabricated a 1.5 FT^3 Sealed box and made an external "frame" with a hole slightly bigger than the original hole:

I grabbed the old shirt and wrapped the top of the box, stapled the outside and the inside locations.. The transition from the big hole to the small hole made a nice curve.

Here it is, ready for the resin

To make sure that the mounting diameter is exact, an Image Dynamics™ ID Max driver is retrofitted prior to fiberglassing.

My hands got extremely dirty so I was unable to take pics of the actual glassing, glazing and sanding process, but here's the end result.. pics don't do them justice

Here it is installed in my car

Wow is it IMAGE DYNAMICS IDMAX 10 or 12 V.3 D4? Rated at 1000RMS, that's one sick sub.

Anyway, are you building new kicks too? I am planning to buy some new components but I don't know what size I should choose. Should I get 6.5" and put on the door at stock location or buy a smaller size to make them installed at kickpanals? and of couse I don't have any kickpanels yet. but I'd like to know how you think about it. I am getting CDT HD-62DT 6.5" comps. Have you listened to any CDT comps?

    VERY nice!

I'm lost on the old sweater reference though. Is the striped material you used a ex-sweater?
