does the brand SOUNDSTREAM ring a bell?

    does the brand SOUNDSTREAM ring a bell?

    A friend of mine was telling me that these were the best speakers anyone could get.
    Is this true? but unfortunately they've gone out of business? is this true as well?

    Anyone here ever have a set of soundstreams that they can comment on? thx.

    Soundstream is famous for their amps, not speakers. They have one of the most artistic and most expensive amplifiers out there (DaVinci, Picasso, Tarantula, Human Reign)

    Soundstream didn't go out of business-- they were bought by a parent company (ANABA group? someone please correct me if I'm wrong) while they continue to market their present-lineup. Just like Cerwin-Vega was bought by Stanton Magnetics, but CV is still doing regular business.

    whoops...thats it...they're amps. So would you recomend me getting a soundstream amp if I could get my hands on one? Im guessing their speakers weren't that great?

    OMG i've never seen an amp like that...it looks like a GOLD BRICK :D Well a friend of mine might be selling his and he was just going on about how Soundstream is the best.
    So I just wanted to confirm if it was true. He has 2 12's in the back and said that if he removed one 12 from his trunk, it would sound better since more power would be directed into that one sub. So hopefully he'll sell me his amp and subs =)
