    Painting steering wheel

    Hi guys and gals, I need some advice, I want to paint my steering wheel, I want to know if I can take it off with out any consequences, how to take it off, and if it would be just easier to paint it on??I have a 03 S, thanks

    Unless you dye it, then that'll be cool...

    I think it would be easier to get one of those steering wheel cover... :shock:

    You could bring the whole thing to a tanning shop. Find somewhere that works on leather jackets and ask them for some ideas. Or maybe someplace that works on horse saddles too, if you're in the country setting. They could do it professionally and you'd never have to worry about it fading, cracking, or rubbing off.

    I'm not sure how to go about painting the steering wheel but I would just buy a nice cover in whatever color/material you like. Search around and I'm sure you can find something you like or even get one custom made. :D

    I wouldn't even touch it.........the steering wheel is my favorite part of the interior

    Thanks for all the advice guys, I was just putting out an idea that came into my head, I may still try something but I appreciate the comments, that's what this forum is all about, someone putting out ideas and getting feedback from others to reach a decision, THANKS :D

    Hey np, what others think doesn't really bother me, I like to get input and the views of others, but if I make up my mind to paint the steering wheel, I WILL paint it, regardless.
    But I wanted to see how the masses felt about it. All of you guys and gals have very nice rides, and I use this site to see what I can do to be different from everybody else, afterall that is what we all want, no one wants to be exactly like someone else. So don't even worry about offending me, Just always keep telling the truth, and keep things real :)
