    So... Let's say I have $2000...

What can I do to the car? I don't think that's enough money for an engine swap. I also live off campus, so I can't afford for my car to be down for a long period of time because I need it to get to class everyday. Rims and suspension are at the top of my list, just because they're easy, but I really want some engine mods. My car sounds mean, but I can barely beat unmodified Camrys and Accords half the time. I need some power. Besides nitrous, anyone have any good suggestions?

get some light rims, rotas of some sort, slipstreams, subzeros perhaps? get intake exhaust, springs and swaybars and spend the rest on premium gas

once you get all that outa the way ALL your car savings can go to the important stuff..whichever route your going, it could be for a paintjob, a monstrous ass stereo, or an engine swap

Well I just got a paintjob in january and stereo was the first thing I did when I bought my car and I got an intake and catback last summer. Headers are the obvious choice now, although it seems the ones from ebay tend to crack their flexpipe.

I just called Machiii.net trying to order some wheels and the bastards don't stock gunmetal Subzeros in 4x100 bolt pattern. It would take 60-90 days to get them special ordered from Japan.

So I can't even order the rims I want now... Suspension is next though. :D

You might want to do all the suspension work that you're interested in...anything interior you want to touch up, etc. Get the car the way you want it, minus the expensive turbo/supercharger/engine swap..when it's as good as it can get with the least amount of money, then go for the expensive stuff. Just my $0.02 :)

Don't waste money on premium gas..it's not going to make a difference unless you're boosted or spraying.

with 2k. You can do up your aspiration. (intake, headers, exauhst) you can get a fuel management system if you already have some mods to your car. I think you can get a semi stand alone for like 1.5k or cheaper. Get some new wires. Injectors. flywheel or clutch upgrade.. really depends on what you are shooting for i guess. shop around

If you want cheap light rims, go for rota subzero, it's cheap and light (12.9lbs a piece). Slipstream is nice but a bit heavier (14-15lbs).
But if you can get some good deal, go get konig helium, it's really light (10.8lbs) and not expensive.
Someone says every 1 lbs you save on the rim equal 5 lbs you save on your car. Something like phyics stuff, 1lbs rotation mass = 5 lbs mass???? I don't really understand that but wtf that I care. =P
