    Latex paint for sub box?

I've done plenty of wood working before, and in other arenas I've noticed that some finishes or paints can have really crappy effects on rubbers/plastics etc.

I would assume that regular household latex paint would work great for my subwoofer box, but it's not really worth destroying my sub to find out.

    Any clue?

    Thanks,
    rem

    Hi,

I use Latex when painting the interior of the box, but NOT on fiberglass.

I prefer latex than enamel when painting MDF panels. Latex doesn't get absorbed by the wood unlike enamel.

Many enamels are latex based paints, other enamels are Alkyd (oil) based. If you use latex make sure you use a latex primer first. You'll get a much better finish that way. This was a coat of Latex primer and a coat of semigloss fungicidal Latex paint:
