    Foot rest

How is it attached to the floor? And how can I get it out? Mom doesn't like it so I'm gonna take it out, but I figured I would ask before breaking something.

Well it wiggles around like its not attached perminantly, or as an important part of the floor. And shouldn't have bought it over something as trivial as a foot rest?

I think its just stapled down under the carpet. you should be able to peel the carpet up a bit then pull out the staples. But you will have abig hole there after its gone!

Ive removed it before and mine is basically just popped in with the black plastic things. You can just tear it up. Theres three holes where they pop in, one on top and two on bottom.

Is there anything behind it worth getting to, like wires or something? Would it be a decent place to hide wires?

Ok thanks guys. I suspected it might be a pop off pop on deal. I'll have to go see if she still wants it gone, she may be getting used to it.

actually I've always wanted to take that thing off too... I would have so much more leg room if that thing wasn't in the way...

I like to push up on it when i am backing out so i can get really high and see well. I usually just bend my left leg when i drive so it doesn't really bother me.

when you get a chance show us soe pics of your lumina. I love those cars!! I like the euro more though because it has the spoiler that the Z34 has, but is 4 doors! The Z looks pretty BAD though too!

Here's my really really out of date web site http://www.geocities.com/kiwiz34/

That paint is 11 years old

BTW the euros, do not have the same spoiler as the z34's. They also came in coupes but did not get the body work of the Z's

And for those interested, the z34's came with a 3.4L DOHC engine that makes 210 hp with the 5-speed, and 200hp with the 4 speed auto. both make 215ft/lbs of tq

yes it is a hollow box.
when its off there are two or three (can't remember) holes in the carpet with little studs comeing out of them.
I don't think it looks horrible or anything, it is on the floor in the corner anyway, with your foot over it most of the time too lol.

btw i should add that I cut off half of the top stud, so it is flush with teh carpet now, feels better on the foot.
