Ya the carbon fiber hoods look really good on the silver mist cars in my opinion.

I would say get it if you have the money.

if you have the money get teh CF hood and when you do dont install till you can install hood pins on it as well cuz they have been known to fly open while driving.

no u really dont have to, the latch should hold the CF hood, people usually get hood pins so the hood is really locked down, and so people wont jack their stuff under the hood if u got hood pins

they are like normal hoods but the latches lets just say arent the best so they tend to come loose. also the wirthe factor makes a difference.

Just a question, why would you want a CF hood? You'll save what, 20 pounds if that, and you're taking weight off the front end where you'd want it (IF our cars had the gonads to lite the tires)?

Why not just paint the stock hood with matte paint?

Well heck yeah if it was free I'd take it too! Would probably pay 20 bucks for it even. Mold a nice scoop in it.....

But to pay 350 bucks just so you can say you have something nifty on the car that really doesn't do anything FOR the car...and may even be bad for street driving (these are not pro drag racing cars looking to shave a hundredth off the quarter time)...nope.

well once my hood is all rock chipped up it will cost me either $350 to repaint it propperly

    OR

Get a CF hood for the same price!

I think I know where my money would be at!!!

In that case, since you'd have to spend the money anyway, the CF hood would esentially be free, and yes that would be the way to go.

OH wow... I just checked out the eBay auction. It's being sold by David. He was at our NorCal Corolla Car Club (NC4) meet just today. He wrecked his Corolla, so unfortunately, he drove up in his sister's Acura 3.2 TL. Anyway, if it's coming from David, it's definitely gotta be good quality. Plus he said he'll throw in free hood pins. And unlike the other cheap eBay crap, the edges are rolled (big issue for me as I've seen some unrolled ones that look and feel like SH**), and the latch is bolted on instead of some crappy latch that someone tried to weld into it or something.
