the shelby concept was the first car (if i remember correctly) to go from first concept sketch to a built concept with no revisions. i like them both, but it they will be toned down to suit the markets needs if they go to production

Well that segment of the population is a large part of shelby's influence....

Well your right, it does seem like quite a bit of tire, but its gotta be enhanced by the widebody.....cuz if thats the case, then heres some proof..

i dont understand what you just typed.... try to elaborate a slight more clearly

the body is tiny and the wheels and tires are WAY oversized.... it actually lifts the car up

hmmmm i dunno, compared to cars within my reach theyre amazing :) ...but when compared to other exotics i think ill pass, they just look too ridiculous, but interior wise theyre fuckin crazy! and wut is that big ass, hole in the ford on top of the shifter?, is it for the torpedo's cuz the car looks like it could be amphibious neway.

as for the big ass tires, i dunno maybe its either a nostalgic thing, because "back in the day" the muscle car guy's used to run big ass slicks in the back and regular tires in the front and as ninety four mentioned "that segment of the population" are the ones who will be purchasing this vehicle, I mention this because when the new 'vettes came out "old school" 'vette fans were outraged at the fact they got rid of the pop-up headlights and it seems like ford is bringing back the past anyway just look at their new 'stang .....
who knows i could be wrong, but it kinda makes sense 2 me

it's not paint...it's polished aluminum. up close, from what i've seen in pics, the finish isn't all that great...too many swirls in the finish.

ONLY thing I dont like about the Lexus is the chrome wheels.

I like the Shelby. Tires and all. It kinda reminds me of a hot wheels Twin Mill (except theres no huge engines on either side.

I like the DB9 over the VanSquish. The Vanquish looks like it uses Hyundai Sonata taillights.

Not saying they weren't nice (well, frankly I dont find them nice really). My comment reflects what the consumers were on at the time the car was popular.

no way in hell conservative toyota will ever produce anything close to the LF-A. Sure, it's badass, but you know they'll never make it.

Supposedly (according to Autoweek) the Shelby GR-1 has already been approved for production. Though it won't be in the polished aluminum finish lol. It's just a toned-down, more streetable Ford GT - meant to sell a few more, as the GT is priced just slightly above most budgets [/sarcasm]
