    danger of bikes

ok s I was on my way home from my mothers house nad was merging lanes... traffic was doing 60 in the 45 so I was happy... ok so any ways I was merging lanes paying attention looking and I had my blinker on... sunnenly I hear the wrap of a bike comming up fast on my right side... the way I was turning and I looked in my mirror and I had 2 bikes whitelining through traffic about 5 feet from my rear end... I was doing 60 and felt like I was standing still when they passed me so I was thinking 90 or 100 MPH... now I know not all bikers do shit like this but some do and It's fucking stupid... had I not been paying attention I would have had 2 new dents in the back of my car and had to deal with the deaths of 2 bikers on my concence... and to make matters worse I watched them run 2 lights wile I was stopped at one... and they were between cars at the lights they white lined to get up there and then were the first vehicals in line between cars... just about the only thing that I saw with these two idiots were that they were both wearing full leather riding gear and helmets... I hate to say it but It makes me feel good that in a few weeks there are going to be 2 less idiots in the world for me to worry about...

I'm sorry about the long post I just needed to vent about it...

I was bike shopping, but then Rodd got in his bike accident and I don't think I'll ever ride after being through everything and seeing what he's going through. It's just not worth it.

Yeah, it is hard. I had a friend die last year while being filmed and he was doing a wheelie up route 340. Made huge news around here...the guy taping was just found guilty for his part in it. He was filming for a video.

95% of bikers out there shouldn't be on bikes.

3 of my friends have bikes.....one has an SV1000, another has a CBR600RR, and the other has a Katana 650 or something like that.....anyway, they all say the same thing...that car drivers piss them off more cuz they always get cut off, they nearly get side-swiped by a driver that doesnt pay attention to their blind spot or just doesnt pay attention, they have people ride their ass in a car for fun, all kinda sh*t like that....n all they wanna do is get from point a to point b...

but it doesnt mean cars have to do it back too...watch that turn into road rage and being too aggressive and that biker getting seriously injured or killed as a reult....how much pride does a person take in overpowering a bike in a vehicle that weighs double that of the bike and the driver of the vehicle is completely enclosed in a comfortable environment...all that'll lead to is road rage...i met a guy who was fastrolla96's friend and one week later, that guy died in an accident from a jeep who didnt pay attention...now what kinda pride does that driver have...

oh im not sayin the don't have their issues too... I in fact used to be one. Also as a point - most people who know me know I have a problem with 80%+ of car drivers too. :) I'm just sayin that a majority of my experience with bikes while in my car, lead me to irritation just as equal to if not more than other car drivers.

I have 100% respect for bikers. I plan on getting me a 2005 GSX-R600 in about 2 months. It's the ones that are ripping down the road at 150+ in heavy traffic that I have no respect for. I live in TN, and Nashville of all places has some of the worst drivers. I can't stand them. But I swear, when I get my bike, and some jerk-off in his Dad's H2 start riding my tail, you best believe their getting an ear full. Bikers need more room, that's just plain and simple. Don't mean to sound like I'm venting, but bikers usually end up critically injured or deceased from doing stunts at high speed, or run over by idiotic drivers. Rarely will a car driver be critically injured from a motorcycle.

I am born and raised in Nashville, TN. But, these people have no common sense. Truck drivers call Nashville, Crashville. And that is no lie. I fear being side swiped at 30+ by a 52yr. old cotton top, than falling off my motorcycle at 150+. And that is sad.

    PS...Leather is your friend.

    Oh for sure...

I grew up in Georgia, I make the drive from CO to GA at least twice a year and every time I loathe going through Nashville. The section of 24 down in Chatta sucks as well - just before you get on 75 headed for Atlanta. Two of the three worst places on the entire drive. (St Louis has a dark cold spot of my heart as well for slot 3 lol)

well dood that is bikers for u.... most ppl that I know are bikers and they get at LEAST in 6 accidents during the year and that's only bike wise and not car wise accidents are counted in there.... it's really embarassing that people that ride bikes have to be so stupid... oh well at least I know I'm a very good driver and have never caused chaos of any sort...

Hey now, people in cars are just as stupid as some people on bikes. The only reason Rodd's in the hospital right now is cause some dumb ass chick in her Jetta couldn't wait long enough to let him by, and then didn't bother stopping and ran him over AFTER he dumped the bike.

He couldn't, and still can't, walk. He has a broken collar bone, 3 broken ribs, his lung collapsed, they removed a ruptured spleen because he was bleeding to death internally, 3rd degree burn across his back from the catalytic converter pressed against him for half an hour, 15 fractures in his pelvis with rods and pins sticking out of his hips, a rod in his leg to stop a compound fracture, and road rash over his entire body. The car ran over his helmet...if he hadn't been wearing one I'd be telling you about his grave site right now instead of telling you about his 2 months in the hospital and after that he's got to walk all over again. He can't roll over, he can barely sit up, and it cause pain to shake through his body to just laugh, he can't even laugh because of all of the injuries.

All because some chick in a car couldn't wait another 30 seconds.

They aren't all bad bikers. Some people on 4 wheels suck just as much as a few on 2.

A LOT! of people on 4 wheels SUCK! But my next question is, what gear was your friend wearing? It sounds like all he had was a helmet. Because if he was wearing leather, he wouldn't have road rash all over his body. That's why, I'm going to be armored and leathered up when I get my bike.

I agree with everyone, I was on Sante Fe going north bound towards Denver, the traffice was backed up due to a light being out at Hampten. I look over and there is a guy on one of those BMW sport tourers going down the shoulder which has as much gravel on it to be considered a dirt road. I just watched waitng for him to move wrong or try to turn and fall over. There are a lot stupid people that do stupid things on bikes.
