    Problems with corolla door sill

Well I had the door sills ordered RS Type Corolla, I left them in my car for to long so now there is residue on the chrome or whatever it is and I can't seem to get it off.

Also the adhesive on the sills are not that strong and I can't seem to get them to stay. What should I do to keep them down? I have some black silicone adhesiev stuff.

ah okay so maybe if you put them on as soon as you got them they would have stuck better? Im in the process of buying a set so if the tape isnt strong enough I might wanna add some tape to reinforce it.

    sill covers

Got a complete set of sill covers from my local Toyota dealer. They cost under $80.00 for four and is the same size as the factory originial plastic ones that came with the car. The sill covers are made in the good USA and went on great. I had a body shop install them for a small fee.
You can find them listed on the Toyota Corolla site under accessories. Top quality and a perfect fir, same size as orginial ones. Some from else where are shorter and don't look good.
Makes the car look like a Lexus.
My understanding is Toyota is working at bring out more accessories for thier cars.
I have the genuine Altis rear license chrome cover coming from China thru a friend. Better then glue on's or stick on's. Must remove trunk outer panel and unbolt the original painted on and screw on the new chrome with emblem on. Will post pictures when it is done,I will show both sill covers and rear license cover.

    Re: sill covers

Those door sills sound cool, can't wait to see pics. I was thinking about getting the chrome trunk lid... but the only one I've seen is the one tony is talking about, a cover that sticks on with 3M type type. Where did you order your trunk lid?

Since I recently installed the altis chrome grill, do you think the chrome door handles would look good on a lunar mist (silver) corolla? They have covers just like the trunk lid but on ebay someone was seeling actual chrome handles from an altis!
