Poll: which Altezza tailight?

Alrite I wanna do a little poll here.....
As far as I know there are 2 kinds of Altezza Tailights, one is model "KS" which most ppl have, one is model "YD". Their main difference is that only the main lamp in "KS" is red, all other parts white; whilst both lamps in "YD" are red and there's a red ring around the back-up lamp.
I just got my Altezza tailight "YD".....but the more I look at the red RING the more I don't like it......but I also don't want the hassle of reinstalling the tailights yet again.

THus comes this poll!!! cast your vote, tell me your opinions!!

My vote is for KS

i like the yd. those are the ones i want to get for mine for christmas. do you have any prices on the two???

They are the same price, around $120.

i think the second one is not sooo bad. but its typical. and the first one isn't typical. there is a reason, because its LY!

i never really like the altezza's either but i dont like how my factory lights look with the red color. the lights look more pinkish and i dont like that. i like the chrome ones cause well i like chrome. If they are out i would prefer a pair that matched more closley to my cars paint. who know i may get it i may not only time will tell. the only way i will deffenatily get them is if i break a tail light. probibly cheaper way to replace them than oem

I like the YD's better. There is another difference that you didn't mention: the housing on the YD's is clear/smooth plastic and the inside looks chrome to me. The KS's have ridges/stripes in it's housing that I don't really like. But it doesn't matter... just get what you like cuz from what I can tell people love to hate altezzas. (what the heck does that word even mean?) Is your car lunar mist like the ones in the pics? I have that color and I think those pics looked pretty cool. I'm never sure what I think about altezzas cuz I don't love the stock lights but I dunno if I love the altezzas either. I like the lights that come on the Lexus RX 300

I think some chrome (or other) altezzas would look cool on your car AESC. I've seen the read and know what you mean. What do you all think of those lights that are the same as stock 'cept the blinker circle is white like the reverse circle? I think somebody on here posted pics with them installed once. I may do that. Hmmm....

In recent times, most of the custom taillamps have been loosely based on the Toyota Altezza, which is known in the U.S. as the Lexus IS300. These types of custom taillamps have become known as "Altezza" style taillamps. There is no reason to believe that the Lexus IS300 taillamps are not compliant with FMVSS No. 108.

yeah my car is Lunar Mist. I think Altezzas suit Lunar Mist better than the stock lights, coz the color matches. I know why some ppl hate Altezzas, becoz when they are installed on cars which are blue/red/any colors other than silver or white, they look very odd and ugly......the color contrast is too much.....but I really think Altezza looks better than stocks on lunar mist.....
well at least, altezza differentiates my car between all the other hundreds of thousands of corollas on the road.......

Does anyone have YD lights on Superwhite or post a link so I can see what they look like.

just put red bulbs in the rear taillights...it makes them like ruby

I have moonshadow and I installed chrome Yd's on it. I've been told numerous times it looks good because the chrome matches with the headlights (I have original stock) and the silver alloy rims. Whenever I approach my rolla from the back I can't help but smile and think "that one is mine!". People will always hate, especially when they see something they don't have...

My vote is for the KS's all the way. In my opinion the YD's look cheap and plain. I beleive the YD's would also be illeagle because they are missing the side and rear reflectors. But i know most of you are not worried about legality issues. Im not positive the KS's have reflectors, but in the pics it looks like they have clear reflectors.
