    Sorry if this topic has come up before, but I may want to try it if it isn't too difficult.

    I did. THREE FRIGGIN TIMES. About 45 bucks worth of tint I threw away. THEN it cost me even more to have a pro do it because he had to get the glue that my attempts left on the window, not a easy task since he couldn't scrape, due to the defroster wires.

    Since you're local, the place I used was Tint-It in Manchester. Thnk he got me for 125 bucks for the rear, normally (without my screw-up glue) it would have been 90. Did a excellent job!

    Yeah...it's very difficult. I got my tinted over a year ago, and the tint wasn't completely covering near the 3rd brake light. The Toyota place scratched up my back tint when they were fixing my car after my accident. So, I had to get it retinted, and it cost me $60. The same guy tinted it, and he got it perfect, with no spots not sticking right this time.

    Misinformation Police suggests that you take your car to a professional tinter because it requires about 4 pc of separate films to get the rear glass tinted; Me used heatgun to fill up crevices in Me NSX's rear window.

    Tinting = Difficult

    The pro I brought it to used one peice. He cleans the heck out of the OUTSIDE of the window, lays the sheet on it, then hits it with a large heat gun with a spreader on it. You can see it shrinking to fit the window. Lets it cool, trims it, peels it off, then sprays the adhesive on the inside of the window. Slaps it on and squeeges the excess out. Looks VERY nice being one peice.

    Yeah..that's a little expensive. I guess it all depends on location though, and other things as well.

    Average price for my car is $120. Thats 32% (legal limit) all the way around...including the strip on the windshield.

    The 2003 Corollas might only need one (1) huge piece because its rear glass is almost dead flat; Whilst most cars with rounded glass usually requires two to four strips.

    here's a good tint resource/tips: www.tintdude.com

    They even have a forum with a thread "specifically" for 03 Rollas

    The 2003 Corollas CAN be done with one piece...see my post above (and Baby Lex's). I watched him do it, can provide pics if needed (no seams).

    YW!

    The guy seems a little "off the wall" but he knows how to tint windows!

    I can tell you how you can get a NH waiver to get the windshield done, if you wear glasses... :wink:
