    Keyless Entry..

    Hi, I was wondering about our Keyless Entry, ours don't make any sounds... is it possible to get that "lexus" chirp into our keyless entry?

    I have a chirp but its because I have lo jack usually the chirp means an alarm is activated. If you don't have an alarm you won't hear a chirp. But I wouldn't go out and spend $600 on an alarm to get a chirp.

    that lexus chirp is cuz of the Toyota RS 3200 VIP system, that is the factory alarm sort of to speak, all lexuses' come with it according to my friend who has a LS 400 and 430

    oh so the only way to get it is to get a TOYOTA Alarm? :shock:

    On the weekend I had a rental car Galant, and when that car locked it would have the most annoying HONK in the world.. and it was loud too. I am so happy my corolla is SILENT. Still wish I could get that Lexus "Chirp".. 8)

    yeah pretty much, the Galant honked cuz it probably has code alarm setup which doesnt have a seperate alarm sound generator, it just honks your horn.

    I had that in the ford focus that we rented. but the difference was when you press the lock button more than once it honked. thank god the alarm i have in my corolla isnt like that. I got a Clifford G5 in my car and it only chirps when the alarm is activated or deactivated. but when the alarm is bypassed meaning only keyless entry it only flashed my lights but no chirp. anyway thats my 5 cents.

    From what I know there is nothing you could do that would make the chirp come out. You need an alarm installed first, the chirp comes out of the alarm's speaker.

    Thanks...They're HP Racing, Model XES... they're great...but the best thing is that I haven't seen anyone with anything similar.

    I'm not sure if they come in gunmetal but if you're interested I can give you the the info for the place where I got them. Are you thinking about getting them? I really wouldn't mind...unless your car is indigo red :D

    The Chirp

    I have an alarm that works with our keyless entry unit
    Its the Hornet 700T, it has the chirp and also its a fully functional alarm system
    Ill let it slide for 35US, I paid 130US, email me at mikemukai@shaw.ca
