Thanks! Your car looks awesome with the grille.

I guess I needed an extra custom touch to my ride. The altezzas have become quite common!

Thanks! your ride looks great 2003C-RollaCE

My idea was to deviate a bit from the sporty side. My aim is NOT to become a Corolla "S" wannabe. With this grille, I am leaning towards a most luxurious look, rather than sporty.

By the way, Corolla CEs rule!

The CE must surely be the best Corolla deal ever. I mean, it looks great on the outside. Only the slightest hint it is an entry level car. On a black CE is even harder to notice the differences since everything is black, moldings, mirrors, paint.

The inside is not at all shabby either. Ok, we don't have the white face gauges. But the standard black ones are very legible and they look great at night. And with the CE we are spared the fake wood accents that would make our cars look like grandpa's chevy Caprice Classic! LOL

My plan is to hit the car wreckers one of these days. There are surely a few totalled 'rollas already. I will get some nice chrome handles from a Corolla S, also things like the autodim mirror with compass...

I was referring to the inside handles. The ones outside are all body color matched. Unless for 2004 they changed to chrome. In that case, those would be VEEEERY nice to have :)

YOu are right about the lack of power windows/locks.

My dealer was cool and installed power locks for both front doors (no extra charge). This means I have keyless entry with my alarm remote, which is cool.

As for the power windows, with this hot California weather, I hardly drive with my windows rolled down, so It isn't much of a hassle.

Hey I'm pretty happy with my CE! But there's no way I'd put down the LE or the S either. I'd love to have the power locks and moonroof the LE has, and the gauges, fogs, and smoked headlamps the S have would be sweet to have for sure.

Besides, ALL the models are nice looking cars!

I'm outside busting my buttocks attempting to get a good pic of my car with the Taiwan grill. My camera SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I'm gonna go get a new one and when my wife sees the credit card bill next month I'll claim temporary insanity.

The more I look at that picture, the more it looks like the right side of my car is seriously bashed in. It's not. It's a reflection of (I think) my neighbor's house.

There's three people living in there. Not one is under 400 pounds.

    Sad, but true.

I had a 68 Charger when I lived in Cal (79-83). I tried for 68CHARG, 6CHARGE8, CHARG68, MYCHARG, WHTHRSE, can't remember them all but every combination I could think of.

    EVERY ONE WAS TAKEN!!!!!

I ended up with 1EYG870, which is what they chose for me.

Surprises the heck out of me I remember that.

I haven't looked very hard but haven't found an 03 in a junkyard yet. I have been asking many vendors if they can get the 03 white faces gauges and I found one. www.irontoad.com can get the whole gauge cluster for 216.85 new. They aren't listed on the site, I got a quote for a bunch of parts and I got an e-mail back with the info. Just call 1-800-590-0304 and ask for Jon. I am going to do this soon so I'll let you know what happens.

About the chrome door handles, there was a set of exterior ones from an Altis on ebay last week. The Altis comes with exterior chrome handles which also fit our corollas. Interior chrome handles would be nice too, haven't found those yet.

I'm thinking about going the "luxary" route too because I LOVE the pics I have seen with the altis chrome-style grill. The grill looks sweet on Black (thoots) and the darker silver color (03 toyman) and I think I've seen a red one as well. I have the same color car as crooner and now I am convinced it will look good on mine. From what I have heard, install is pretty easy.

Since I'm on a roll I have some more questions about model differences. Until a week or so ago I didn't know that the S headlights were smoked... how does that look? Would it be worth it to upgrade? I have seen them advertised on a number of sites. I could try to sell my old ones so the mod prob wouldn't cost too much.

Anyone know where to get an OEM foglight assembly with wire harness etc?

    Ok, I'm done :D

OEM headlamp harness is already there, instead buy them off of RS Version and use those, the OEM harness wont work unless you get a new switch from the dealer in which case you have to buy some other stuff too.

Go for it! I am pretty happy with my grille.

What I am now looking is for the trunk ornament, just above the licence plate, whatever that is called, chrome plated. Again, like the Altis model, and the Camry line here in the states.

The "S" model smoked lenses effect is very slight. At least to me. They are not smoked the whole way like some of the after-market stuff is.

I think I am going to pass the white faces cluster. I mean, it looks cool, but I also like my black one very much.

Now, what I need to do is to tint my windows real nice. I don't like black tint since it's kinda boring, and everybody has it. Rather, I would like a "rayban" effect mirror like tint like the Lexus has. Now that would go real sweet with my color.

Yeah, I am leaning to the luxury look as you. I need to tint my windows too but as far as I know, silver tint is illegal and will get ticket even more often than blackest tint all around. You have a CE, right?

    Yes, I have a CE.

There is a kind of silvery tint that's it's still translucent on the outside. I want something that looks like the tint the Lexus LX350 SVU has.
In any case I would leave the front windows clear...
