    Offset Question

Alright so I'm looking for some rims to increase grip and add a little style to my Corolla. My friend let me ride around with his ADR Flite 5s from his WRX for a couple of weeks and they felt good, but I am not too fond of the design.

The two vehicles have the same lug spacing pattern, however I believe the offsets are different. Does anyone know where I can read up on offset? Also does anyone know what the Corolla's offset is? I saw someone seelling rims on a forum with a +35 offset. I think the ADRs were like 48...

a +35 will put the wheel just a bit outside of your wheelwells, a +48 is going to be a few mm's inside the wheelwell.

    Thanks,
IYO, do you think the +48 would be harmful in any way? Could it cause the tires to wear out quicker?
