Conversion to power windows/locks

Anyone know about how much it'll run me to convert to power windows and locks...I have a two door, if that matters

Go the factory route and your gonna get raped... smart way to do it is go to toyota and purchase the power window and doorlock buttons for your door, then purchse DEI brand door lock actuators, as they are the highest quality, and hook them up to the stock switches. They usually run about $19.99 each. Then purchase an aftermarket power window kit and do the same thing, hook them to the stock switches. The window kit is usually $90-140 for both doors, depending on the kit. These will be of higher quality than the factory stuff so expect the windows to roll up and down faster as well!

when hooking them up, you gotta make sure that the harnesses's match, i know that you dont have a Toyota (not to SS). on the Corolla, each switch has 14 wires or so so to get them to just fit on the factory switches will be hard but he is correct

Shouldnt be too tough, get a wire diagram to connect the power and ground for the switch, then just use a test light to find the switched leads... doesnt have to be wired like factory, just work like it... you can also use relays if the stock switches arent putting out enough current to power the aftermarket stuff!

well i was just curiouus, cuz on our cars, (i dont have poewer windows) the harness has like 6 or 7 control the up, then a couple for off and 6 or 7 more for down, and the whole thing attaches to a little circuit board. i'm pretty sure there would be a complete kit available that will take care of it all but the switch thing is a problem.

Dont have to connect all the wires, just which ever one will throw a current when the switch is pressed...

the only thing is that she has a dawoo... which they do not sell most of the parts anymore seeing that the company stopped manufacturing cars

yup....baby, you got it... thats the difficulty I have in doing anything to my car, is that since they were only manufactured for 2 or 3 years, no one ever made any parts for it...the only thing that was made specifically for my car is a set of springs. That's it..everything else has to be custom made...so if anyone at all has any idea about how I would get this done... it would be much appreciated
I'm just taking a wild guess in thinking there for sure as hell aren't any Daewoo forums around...lol

well i guress in that case, you can always use xtm's cf diy and make a custom pannel for power windows and run custom do the harnesses on some motors. you can get the motors from a junk yard or look for your car at

www.junkyarddog.com and there are a few other sites where you can request for the specified parts and they send them to you when they become available but for a price though

Might try a junkyard, ask them if they could pull everything off you'd need to convert. Not sure if it would be cheap (not too many running around so not a big market) or expensive (again not too many running around, so parts rare and in demand).
