so yea... i bid on an evolution 7 wing today... got like 10 hours left... they come primered and ready to paint... search ebay for Evolution Spoiler if you are interested... im also cutting hood vents on my hood when i get the spoiler... i'll take pics when im done... i say less then a month from now

Did a ebay search on evolution spoiler, didn't see one listed for Corolla. Are they universal?

I think he meant the wing that comes off the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII car.

probably not universal, but i am assumin, he's gonna do a custom fit. i wanna see the hood thing, do it like the Supra, that looks pimp

Yes i will be custom fitting it because its for a lancer... there wont be much custom fitting needed though. Theres a place by my house that sells car paint compressed into a spray can, so im going to get my color code and some clear coat and paint it my self along with the altis grill and the edges of my cuts in the hood... look out! :shock:

well, it sound like you got a lot of work work planned ahead of you. you may need to shave it a little to make it fit if the curvature on the trunk is different. is it the one with the CF deck lid or what

btw, the shop that u said sells the paint in a spray can, how much does it cost??? cuz i may be interested in getting some and doing the black stripes on the side of the car and the lip spoiler if i get one off ebay. maybe u can ship it to me along with clear coat cans too

they are like $20 a can (20oz can) and $10 for the best clear coat... and 1 can of each is enough to do the spoiler... Just need the color code off your door and they will mix the color to match

I was told once at the dealer that I can change anything I wanted on the car except for the rear spoiler. He told me that it was specifically calculated for the vehicle and that any modifications / replacement spoilers would severly alter driving. It's probably all BS but has anybody else been told this? I really don't see our spoiler as having much of an effect on the vehicle even at speeds of 80+ MPH . What do you guys think?

well he probably is correct cuz i would assume that the OEM spoiler has been wind tunnle tested for best performance and the aftermarket "Wing Spoiler" and other bigger spoilers can highly alter that resulting in worsened handling. although i have heard people mention that you wont notice that unless u are driving at very high speeds (beyond highway speeds) but i really dont see how cuz the wind is being cut and dispersed differently anyways no matter what your speed.

spoilers are really only for looks on cars on the street... when its at the track, thats different... OEM or aftermarket, they are all the same BS

Your dealer is yankin' ya. You're right, it would take a BIG wing to even start to affect handling on the car, at least until a point beyond most normal highway speeds, and it would have to be mounted up pretty high to get into clean air-flow (take a look at where the pros put theirs). The stock wing is just for looks.

ok so i got it in the mail this morning... i put it up to the car to see if i need to make any custom changes and i dont it JUST fits... i need to unwrap it and put the ends on it before i snap a pic of it but expect it sometime tomorrow afternoon

its so nice... im going to get that and the grill painted together then drop them in... then do the good ol 1 2 3 drop the car... and there we go

august 7th the car goes to the body shop... should have it back that following monday...

Whats the name of this place? Do you know if they have a website? I'll appreciate it if you can post a little more info...I know there are a couple people that would like to buy these products to work of their cars. Thanks.

the place is called NMB Paint... in north miami beach (duh... lol) they dont have a website or anything because they are a small local paint shop... but i have seen other people do this before and sell over the web... i just havent seen it this cheap...
